Buster B. Jones Recovering from Surgery

Buster has asked me to pass on a few comments about his recent illness. I spoke with him tonight, Nov. 7th, 2001. Buster is recovering from surgery to remove abscessed tissue in his colon. Buster had over 1 1/2 feet of intestine removed and some minor complications resulted from the surgery. It is likely he will continue to be hospitalized for another 2-3 weeks.

Although he is in pain, he is in good spirits and wanted to thank all who have sent cards, letters, emails and prayers on his behalf. He said, "You don't know how good it feels to wake up and get encouraging mail from so many folks..it really lifts me up."

He also said: "The nurses say I'm as good a patient as I am guitar player."
