Hello everyone, I wanted to ask your opinion on the Weber speaker,
the "California Alnico 15" model !!!
On the website the description points out the fact that
this speaker was conceived on the specifications of the JBL D130.
Paolo.

Hi Paolo! Weber makes great speakers. The California will sound similar to the JBL, but it has its own voice. Can you find a JBL D130, K130, 2135, or E130 (ceramic) over there? Best, LMark

Grazie LMark!!!
I'm sure I want one with Alnico.
What is the difference between d130 and k130?
I would also like to focus on the reliability of a new cone.

The k was the last version of the alnico 15. I don't know all the differences. The d and k are quite similar. The 2135 is the pro version of the d or k. Someone who knows audio over there could probably explain the differences to you. You can still find good used ones (any of the three) with original cone. They were used in all kinds of applications (loudspeakers, monitors, etc.) You have to know the right persons, or have good discernment. Over here we have craigslist, etc. Occasionally I see them on ebay Europe. You might also try a D123 (12"). They are less expensive and a little less sensitive (i.e., efficient).
