My cover of "The Street of Laredo" arranged by Chet on the album The Other Chet Atkins.
I don't know why but this song reminds me of Christmas.

I discovered that this passage is called "Gesu’ Bambino", which is why it reminded me of Christmas.
There is a verse sung by Pavarotti, beautiful.

Paolo, I have heard this song all of my life and I've always considered it to be a song of the West. The lyrics I've always heard would sound hilarious if Pavarotti were to sing them. I'm laughing right now as I imagine him coming out on stage very seriously and clearing his throat as the audience stares at him with great anticipation and he begins to sing

"I see by your outfit that you are a cowboy.........."
