Make-up by Orlando on my Fender Twin Reverb

Postby Spadaro Paolo » Thu May 20, 2021 5:00 pm

this afternoon I finally picked up my twin reverb after the "refurbishing" work done by my favorite amp technician. Giuseppe Orlando. The original circuit was a PCB, it has been completely replaced with a point to point one with vintage nos components. In addition, 4 late 60s power tubes made in the USA, Sylvania, were fitted.

Paolo, I don't even understand what you had your technician do for you but I'm sure it sounds really nice!

Rande, Pay attention!! It's as clear as a bell. Paolo goes to all the trouble to show this and you don't pay attention. You are going to have to stay after school until you learn to pay attention. 8-)

Roger, I know that you meant to be funny but I'm admitting my weakness and there are so many things that I'm good at but not with any of this! :-)

Looks like you got a first rate job on your Twin, Paolo. How does it sound to you? I had an original 65 Twin for many years that I really loved. I'm no tech, so I never looked behind the cover to see the wiring. Sold it because we moved to a condo and I didn't want to drive the neighbors nuts with all the volume. :D I'm looking forward to hearing you play through it in one of your videos.
Take care,
Ray

Roger, I didn't mean to imply that you weren't being funny. I knew you meant to be. I was just reminded of the actual truth in what you said, even if you were unaware of it. I'm not mechanical and most of what he had done to his amp was foreign to me. We're OK (you and me)! :-)
