Lunchbox acoustic amp

Postby smokymtguitar09 » Fri Dec 10, 2010 9:45 pm

I tried another small acoustic amp today. The ZT Lunchbox acoustic amp is two channel 200 watt 1x 6.5" amp with several desirable features including weighing only 12 lbs. It does have reverb, feedback control, mic chan with phantom supply, line out, ext. speaker out, headphone out, etc.

For its size it is loud, but doesn't exactly reproduce the acoustic guitar. I have a Phil Jones Cub amp and it sounds better(to my ear) than the Lunchbox, but lacks all the Lunchbox extras. The Lunchbox controls are more accessable than the Cub. The Lunchbox might sound better with an extension speaker, but here we go adding more items to carry. It's priced around $390-399 and the carrying case is an extra $30.

The amp is showing up at music stores & eBay, so you might want to check it out.

For comparison's sake I found another Premier Guitar review of the Phil Jones Cub and Super Cub amps.
Thanks,
