Corona Virus

Welcome to the new Chetboard!

Corona Virus

Postby Roger Pratt » Thu Mar 19, 2020 2:39 pm

I just want to say to you all and especially to us older members to be really vigilant in avoiding this virus as much as humanly possible. There are so few of us Chet Atkins fans left, we cannot afford to lose any more to this virus. Do all you can to shield you and your family and by all means pray for the ones affected so far. With God's help we can defeat this thing and come out on the other side healthy.

Roger, I really appreciate your sentiments and advice. Yes, there aren't many of us original Chet fans left! New fans have sprung up since he left us almost 19 years ago!

I agree we need to take care of ourselves and preserve what's left!

hey folks, here Paolo From Italy that writes;
the situation is really dramatic, the deaths to date for coronavirus are more than 4000.
Fortunately I am fine and my loved ones are fine too, but life in quarantine is very demanding, especially psycholigically.
I am required to work because I carry out a public service job,
in fact I am a technician in the state railways and trains continue to walk even in these situations.
Fortunately, when I return home, my passion for guitar and music makes my evenings less boring.
Fortunately, before all this happened, I managed to get a new guitar, a wonderful 1999 McGill Super Ace, number 4.
An extraordinary guitar, aesthetically wonderful, very easy to play and with a very sweet sound.

Paolo.......So happy to hear that you and your family are well. That looks like a fabulous guitar and I know it has to be because Paul McGill is a premiere guitar maker! Looking forward to hearing a tune from you on that beauty!

Thanks everyone. Take extra care every day! Here in Perth Australia we're almost in total lockdown. We should all try to learn a tune a day to pass the time away productively. I think we can all thank Chet for us wanting to learn guitar ...
keeps me occupied i can tell you. Stay safe everyone
Paolo that's a nice guitar!!

God bless
Keep frettin'
