Ray, it looks beautiful. I'm holding out for the 6122-1959. I've played one before and it felt perfect for my hands. I'm sure that yours sounds as good but my choice has to do with the physical dimensions. I was always surprised when I shook Chet's hands and realized how large they were. Mine are about the same size I believe. Your price is also good. It's very common for those to be around $2,500 or more!

Rande, my guitar IS a 6122 1959...it's the one Paul Yandell designed with Gretsch using Chet's 1959 gent as the baseline for the model. They just couldn't call it a Country Gentleman because Chet's name was not yet re-associated with Gretsch yet. I just want to get that straight so no one will be confused and not consider my guitar on eBay.

Ray, I'm sorry. I did research the Nashville Classic after I made my comment and should have gotten back to you to correct that. One very nitpicky fine point is the fact that Chet's name isn't on it yet, even though it's the same guitar. I'm sure it plays the same. By the way, why are you selling it?

No worries, Rande. It didn't hurt my chances of selling it, I'm sure. I have enjoyed playing it, but I don't play nearly as much as I used to. I'm selling 2 other guitars on eBay - a Taylor Big Baby and a Martin Backpacker nylon - and I've sold my large amp. I'm keeping my Gibson Tennessean and my little Fender Frontman 15R amp to bang around on. The Tennessean has a neck that is very similar, but the body is much smaller and more comfortable for me to play these days. If they don't sell, I may try to consign them with a local dealer and see what happens there. I know it doesn't have Chet's name on it, but some folks sell those little Country Gentleman headstock medallions on eBay. Not cheap, though.
I hope you and everyone has a great Easter Sunday.

I sold the Nashville Classic, my Taylor, and the little Martin backpacker. :D I am going to get another flat top - this time with a cut away. Here is a video of me playing the Taylor...I am a Pilgrim. I sure had fun with all of these. I never really figured out how to hold the backpacker to play. It was so daggone small don't you know.
Take care.

Ray, looks like you did very well on all your guitars. Guitars sales are flat right now I've read. Video nicely done also! Don't stop picking for sure.

Hi Roger. I kept a Gibson Tennessean to play and I've had it forever. Thanks for the kind words about the video. Take care.
