Just found these on Utube, from 1958. Never heard Chet play these tunes.

Re: Some New (old) Chet
Aren't these great? It sounds like Chet was at something like an ROTC recruitment event. LMark

Re: Some New (old) Chet
Thank you, LMark! I've never heard him play them either. I was asked years ago if I could play "Ain't She Sweet" and I came up with an arrangement but never knew Chet had done it! The second song is totally new to me regardless.

My Dad used to sing both of those songs which I think come for the "tin pan alley" era. I would have loved to had heard and learned them back in the day. My father would sit at the dinner table after eating and strum his guitar and sing to these type tunes. Good memories.

Re: Some New (old) Chet
Earlier this year I tried to decipher Chet's arrangement of Ain't She Sweet. I absolutely love these early years of Chet. I like to work out songs that haven't been covered extensively by others.

Really appreciate that Phil! As you know, I like to unravel the more obscure tunes. You also did some Reed tunes that most never play.
