I have several Tommy Jones dvd's free to a good home. I'm not in the mailing business, but if you live in the Nashville area I have many other fingerstyle cds and dvd's as well. Email krumel50@aol.com.

That's tempting because I'll be down there between the 8th and 15th!

Sure am sorry I can't get these from you. I don't get on here often, maybe once before. Tommy was my first cousin. His mom Hazel and my father Howard were twins. Although Tommy lived in FL, my father had to migrate to VA during the depression to help support the family which was very poor like everyone else back then. I was born and grew up in VA. I didn't get to spend as much time with Tommy as I would have liked. We stayed with them at their house on the Suwannee River in Old Town for two weeks every year from when I was born until Otis and Hazel moved to Nashville so Tommy would have a better future. Got to stay with him a few times when he was still living there and playing in Boot's club. Anyway, I sure loved and admired him. I play guitar, but certainly not as well as he did. We talked on the phone but life got in the way. Anyway, my brother got the only copy of a record he sent us once. I watch the videos on Youtube but that's all I have other than a few family pictures (have one from 1959 when we were posing side by side. I had my 3/4 sized Guild M65 Freshman and he had his classical. Pretty funny now, but I remember the day we took it.)

If any of you guys are willing and feel generous, I would love to have any CDs or DVDs, or anything else to pass down to my son who never got to meet him. I always regretted I didn't have a chance or the money to be able to buy his Sands or any other guitar of his and keep it in the family. Somehow they all got away. I guess it was distance back then. Now that I am retired and on fixed income, I don't suppose they are ever coming back. Anyway, I would happily pay the postage/shipping on anything I could get. If you have anything you would be willing to send me, feel free to write me at: axisplayer@cox.net. I can give you my info and arrange to send you the money. I would be happy with most anything because I have so little from him.

Thanks,
Stuart (axisplayer@cox.net)

Stuart,
As you might suspect, I had a fairly decent response and anything I had is now gone. I would have traded all the items I had for your memories though!

Stuart, that's very interesting! I guess I never knew about you? I never knew that Hazel had a twin! I've posted the videos I took but I also have a few cassettes from my many visits with him.
