Bucky Pitzerelli RIP
He was a jazz player heavy into fingerstyle for plucking advanced chords. I see that he was 94 and the article I read said he died of COVID-19. I have a album from the 70's that he did with George Barnes.

An amazing player, focused on the 7 string guitar. Influenced a lot of players in the jazz world and was a close friend of Les Paul. Les had many stories of his work and play with Bucky. I got to see him a couple of times. A very generous man with his talent.

Rich, I used to have that same record from the 70's and I bought it new. I remember their duet with "Blue Skies" and the interplay between them!

Hey Rande,
Look what I found.

I think there are probably a few more of their songs on YouTube.

That was it, Bill! I also round Eleanor Rigby too! I used to listen to that album over and over! It has been decades but I'll never forget how impressed I was that 2 people could coordinate those intricate details so well!
Thanks, Bill!
Thanks, Bill!

Thanks for posting that link billb. And Randy, I too bought that album new. The live version of "Blue Skies" while very nice isn't how I remember it from their album. I played that cut a lot back in the day. They were great together.

Rich, I actually didn't buy the exact album you that were talking about. It seems that it was a live benefit concert with a number of other guitarists and the cut that Bill Bailey found was the exact recording of that song that I remember.
