Gibson Gent prototype?

Postby Ray Bohlken » Sun Mar 23, 2025 7:07 pm

In 1994, Gibson issued many models of their guitars as 100th anniversary edition. They seem to have made a prototype for a Chet Atkins Country that was not issued as an anniversary model. This is a link to a video of that guitar. It shows the interior later in the video with red wine stains inside. It's for sale on Reverb.com and the owner's description there is
lengthy. Hope y'all find the video interesting.

That really was an interesting video, kind of an archeological dig. The "wine spill" theory made it even more interesting. Sure would be fun to hear what actually happened from "the horse's mouth."

Thanks for sharing!
