Re: NBC/Universal are nuts!
phil did you get the whole show or just the 2 clips...... I only saw 2 songs, was there more footage than that? I sure would like to have the whole show, interview and all.

You could use a scan converter, and record the whole thing to tape, or DVD. The scan converter I have costs about $25. I used it for other things, but it would work.

Wes,...it's just the two clips, I wish it was the whole show. It ain't bad except for the dang NBC video watermark in the middle of the screen.

Re: NBC/Universal are nuts!
Guy from NBC said he mistyped. It is $150 per 5 minutes of video.
They are still on crack!
No thanks.
I emailed them this:
Thanks but $60 to $80 for the show is reasonable.
You would have to be rich to afford $150 for 5 minutes.
30 minute show would be $4500.
I bought the entire 3 seasons of Star Trek on Blue Ray for $35 each.
Thanks anyway.

Re: NBC/Universal are nuts!
Eddie,
You might want to modify that a little. If it's $150 for 5 minutes and there are six 5 minute periods in 30 min.,
that would be 6 x $150 = $900 instead of $4500.
It's still high I agree.

Yeah I was at work in the truck when I realized my math was off.
Forgot to change it.
But it is still ridiculous to pay that.
If I had the money I wouldn't!

Sorry Eddie, I didn't mean to be insensitive when I pointed that out but yes, it's still way too high. I wonder if anyone is paying that?

Re: NBC/Universal are nuts!
They just don't want to do it. They make up some exorbitant figure because most folks will just go away. The ones that can afford it, Cha CHING, to whomever at NBC.
No telling how big that department is...but if I were betting, I would bet that they get a TON of requests and if they charged a reasonable rate, there is no way they could keep up with a little Chet Atkins here, Johnny Carson there, Davy Crockett...you know there are a bunch of folks like us that have our heroes that were on during that period of time and would love to have a copy of our own... So it appears what they are doing is making it cost prohibitive so they don't have to do it.
