Urban Contemporary/New Age Jazz

I guess when the record company is selling your music as "Urban Contemporary/New Age Jazz" they figure it is a much more effective marketing tool to have you holding a bottle of beer than a guitar.

Jazz records back in the 50's and 60's almost always had a scantily clad lady(usually in a bathing suit)on the cover to sell records, hoping someone would buy for the album cover only. God bless Ty M.

It looks like a Michelob to me. Now if it was a jug band it could make more sense ;)

Well, you must admit, Chet is striking a very urban and contemporary pose in that photo.
Thanks,

That photo would seem to be from the one they did for the Sneakin Around album.

I don't think Chet thought of it as being "Urban Contemporary" to enjoy a 'cold one' on occasion! :D

Wow, it does look as if they recycled photos from one shoot to multiple records. Either this or that bottle of beer was the standard prop used for photos.

They also just superimposed the photo of urban Chet over the original Street Dreams cover.
Thanks,
