Chet at the Met

I just returned from Spring Break trip to NYC. If anyone goes there, I suggest visiting the Metropolitan Museum of Art. There is an exhibit running through July 4, "Guitar Heroes, Legendary Craftsmen from Italy to New York" Perhaps the most attention of the exhibit is focused on John D'Angelico, though there are also Maccaferri guitars, lutes and even a Stradivarius guitar (1 of 4 known to be made). The D'Angelico Excel Jethro gave Chet (Me and My Guitars p. 61) is on display, plus you can hear a recording of Chet playing Black Mountain Rag. Many beautiful instruments. Worth an afternoon if you're in the area.
