Here's an interesting Gibson Chet Atkins nylon for someone who wants to stretch their fingers a little more:

Re: A little different Chet Atkins nylon
I know there are people on this board who know a lot more about Gibson Guitars than I ever will so, am I correct in assuming that somebody custom built this 7-string neck and stuck it on a Gibson built body?
The only Google hits I can come up with are sites that link to this very guitar for sale - as far back as 2005.

Randy,
I was thinking the same thing when I saw it and posted it. I wish there were more pictures and explanation. I'd like to see a pic of the neck connection to the body. They had to use a different pickup and maybe bridge to make it work.

The headstock looks similar to a Kirk Sand headstock to me.
Thanks,

Interesting observation, Chuck. And it has RMC electronics, which is what Kirk uses. Makes one wonder if maybe Kirk had anything to do with the mods.

Now, if I were a 7-string kind of picker, I might be inclined to go for a guitar like this. Then, I might see talk to Sam Kennedy about the possibility of a Prismatone bridge that might work with 7 strings. But since I'm barely getting by on 6 strings, it's pretty easy for me to rule that out.
