Here's another original. I am dedicating this one to Mr. Paul Yandell, for at least 2 reasons: (1) the tune is (loosely) based on a tune he co-wrote and recorded with Chet, On A Roll, and (2) I've never been pleased with the first tune I dedicated to Paul and felt that a second one was in order. I'm not thrilled with my execution on this one, either, but I think it's a better tune than the first. (Specifically, I'm not very proud of my harmony work on the second track ... I'm just not good at harmony.)
I hope you like it, Paul. It's not nearly so complicated, or pretty, as On A Roll, but I think you can tell the influence is there. BTW, On A Roll is one of my favorites.
As noted above, I use two tracks for this one. The second track is simple, single-string "harmony."

Update: After creating this video, I came up with an additional verse and an alternate ending. Both are shown in the following video. This video seems to have stripped out the phaser sound, for some reason unknown to me:

What a way to start my day. Get a cup of hot coffee, sit down and hit the 'Board early - find a great song from the lean, mean 'Keen Machine! Now I'm off to see the Wizard and try to muddle through the workday while I dream of playing like this, all the time knowing it will never happen! Asi es la vida! KOPAP. Billy

After creating this video for Paul, I came up with an additional verse and an alternate ending. Both are shown in the following video. The YouTube processing seems to have stripped out the phaser sound.

Paul, I hope you like the additional material. I thought that, if you ever wanted to play any of it yourself, you might want at least some of the extra material.
