Pretty much says uit well and those two aquit themselves well by honoring the original inspirational duet.
I think Thom was looking for this when he paired with Buster. Brian Lonbeck is an excellent guitarist with obvious Maphis roots but imbued with his own styling.
Lots of potential as a team...

The combination of flat picking and thumbpicking reminded me of something I'd heard, but I couldn't place it....it was Joe Maphis and Merle Travis. Thanks for helping me with that thought. I sure would like to see one of those concerts. These guys looked like they were having a blast. I did too watching them play.
