Have you guys heard this one yet? It’s pretty fabulous. I once had a CD of Odell playing, years ago, and I LOST the dern thing. I sure have missed that CD all these years. It was a real treasure. Kick myself over and over for losing it.
But this kind of soothes away my pain a bit, to hear him pickin’ that Grammer guitar. If you haven’t heard it, yet, it’s a real treat.

Just found out. Circa on this is 1971. The man interviewing him is little Roy Wiggins.

The first time I ever even heard of Odell Martin was in about 1977 when I saw his name in the parentheses after the song title "David's Dance" on Chet's "Me and My Guitar" album. This was nice an informal and it was interesting to hear his voice.

Looks like Chet took Odell’s composition, enhanced it a bit, refined it, made it his own while still keeping the basic body of the piece. Wow!
