Richard, a great rendition of "Where the Roses Never Fade," an old standby tune for Jimmy Swaggart.

And Bruce, I heartily agree the one song is not "Foggy Mountain Top." The resemblance is unique but, as you say, these are all gospel songs and "Foggy" is not. It is just one of those obscure songs from years ago. Hymnals were (are) full of them, many never even sung by the congregation. K E N T

Thanks, Kent. You are right that there are so many C/F/G songs in the hymnals, with no diminished 7ths or tricky progressions or anything to set them apart, so many of them sound much alike. I think that's what we have with this one song that none of us can identify. Looks like all I'll be able to know about it is that it was a song that had meaning for Dad.

Take care

Number 11 is "I Can Tell You The Time" Page 34 of my old Church Hymnal which was published in 1951. Thanks

I agree with I Can Tell You The Time oldthumb347. That was the one that I just couldn't call the name of it.

Oldthumb and Richard: thank you so much for this. That means that we now have names for 24 of the 25 tracks, so I am so appreciative of your help.

Oldthumb, I am honored that your first ChetBoard post was done to help me with this. Welcome to the ChetBoards, and I hope we hear more from you!

All my best wishes for the coming to all of you!
