Hi, all...

Can anyone recommend a peg winder/cutter that will fit on the large kidney pegs on the 6122-59

Thanks...

Try the new Ernie Ball peg winder. Got one for Christmas. It's great!

Hey, Roger...I've tried the Planet Waves, but it doesn't fit over the Kidney Bean Pegs I have on my 6122-59...

Al, will yours fit over the large kidney peg?

Just take your knife and carve out the one end that is half-open now...That should do it.

Not sure if it fits the large kidney, but it does have two different sized notches -- large and small on the wheel portion.

Al, I have a peg winder with two slots, one big and one small, but both are too small for my Nashville Classic with Grover Imperial tuners. I have to cut away the sides to make it fit.

I have one that works real well. My music store guy gave it to me. I'll look and see what kind it is and report back.

Okay, I know there are various opinions on this, but you really don't need a peg winder if you put the strings on this way:

If the string is locked in this manner, you only need about one wrap around the string post and it will hold. No need for multiple wraps. I think I heard this from Doyle Dykes at a workshop years ago if I remember right. I've been doing it this way for years with no problem.
