Nice pics!
They have some facts in there that are not quite correct, though.

beautiful, drool-worthy guitars there but, man, why don't these people pay more attention to the text they write?

When it gets to Chet's '59 it has this text:

"...A popular Chet Atkins guitar was the Gretsch Country Gentleman, named after a 1953 Atkins recording. He acquired this model around 1954, and played it on record and in concert with Arthur Fielder’s Bost Pops Orchestra..."

They're foggy. He started with Gretsch in '54 but the Gent didn't come in until 57-8 and as we all know, This one is a 1959 model!

I hadn't even read the captions when I posted the link. I was just drooling over the photos too. Here's another mistake: The Fleur-de-Lis model is not an SST. It should have said "Chet Atkins Studio Classic Fleur-de-Lis". Also he didn't get that guitar until the 90's.

Yeah, I had to make a comment about the reference to the Studio Classic being an SST. They need to do a better job if they are going to call their magazine, Premier Guitar. Their description about his '59 Gretsch made it sound like he was playing that very guitar in 1954. They missed the boat on the date and significance of that guitar.

I've been there a few times. It is well worth the effort to go and see that collection while you are in Nashville. The downtown area of Nashville is quite small, so you can walk to a number of different places of interest in the area where the Country Music Hall of Fame is located.

I would like to go back and see Chet's guitar display again, so I can see them up close once more. I haven't been there since Paul had Chet's Standel added to the display.

If nothing else, you can usually do an ALT+PRINTSCREEN to capture the screen image, then paste it into some photo software like Adobe Photoshop or Irvanview or even Power Point, crop it, and save it as a JPG.

If you use Firefox...

Choose "Page Info" from the Tools Menu.

Click on "Media".

Click on each item in here until the pic you want shows up in the display area. There may be a lot so, highlight the first one and scroll through using your arrow keys.

Click "Save As".

In the case of this Premier Guitar Site, it will default to saving as an ".ashx" file. You can just save it as whatever you want and change "ashx" to "jpg". It should then open in Photoshop or any other program that reads jpg.
