MusicMan 15 in spkr vs 12 in spkr

Postby lovechet » Thu Jun 28, 2018 7:35 am

Does anyone have experience with a 15 spkr in a Music Man vs a 12 inch. I was planning on buying a 112-RD\65 but I saw the same one for sale with a 15 spkr ie 115-RD\65. I was thinking that the 15 would be great since Chet liked a 15 in. Any info regarding the Music man 15 inch would be appreciated.

I have only gone on what I read. 15 inch Speaker is the way to go. However they are not common.

Chet and Paul both were using Music Man 112 RD Fifty amps later on (12 inch speaker). I have one, and it's a great amp.

After a lot of research, I bought a Traynor ycv20wr to play my 6122-59 Gretsch Nashville Classic through and to my ear it sounds as good as anything out there. (They have a 12-inch Celestian Greenback speaker) I get a lot of comments from other musicians as to the crystal-clear rich tone it provides. Traynors can be a bit pricey but, they are sturdy-built amps and it's the old you-get-what-you-pay-for kind of thing. Anyway, just thought I'd throw my two cents in for what it's worth. - Regards, Tom W.
