This got a lot of country station air time out west in southern California in the mid sixties. I liked it so much that I bought his album containing this instrumental. I think he's using that south american guitar which I can't name that Chet used on several of his songs. Though not a finger picker I liked his work in El Paso and probably other songs that he backed up.

My apologies. I couldn't tell whether you might have felt prohibited from naming the guitar for some reason. The Del Vecchio Dinamico is indeed a great sounding guitar.

I always enjoyed Grady's playing on the Del Vecchio. I remember buying Grady's Touch Of Country album just for the cover picture of Grady holding a Del Vecchio. He also had written a good tune for the album called Double O Dobro.
