On the equipment section there is a thread about home recording. I've been reworking my arrangement of the Everly Brothers "All I Have To Do Is Dream" now that I can go direct via usb to my computer. Like Norm, I like the free Audacity program. I also used an old version of Band In a Box. I've been working hard mixing it and my ears are shot.
Thanks,

Re: Home Recording - All I Have to Do Is Dream
Following up on my "Home Recording" saga.
Someone on the Chettboard was kind enough to send me a private note on my original mp3 file noting the bass was a somewhat overpowering. I totally agree and appreciate your note! I think my ears gave out on me during mixing and/or I was hiding my playing behind the BIAB midi file guys. So I gave mixing another try and here it is. Quite easy to do with Audacity. I have my original guitar track and the BIAB files - tweak the db's and go for it. I don't want to bore you folks, but I do love this topic and hope some of you can share experiences with mixing etc. I think on one thread Craig Dobbins mentioned having good headphones.
Thanks,
GaryL
