With 20th June fast approaching, my good friend and guitarist Alan John Britton has made his own tribute to Chet.
Alan was instrumental (no pun intended) in inviting Chet over to the UK in 1994 to play in our home town of Bristol.
Chet did a great one-off concert here along with Paul Yandell and Alan's band.
Alan also had the honour of presenting Chet with the Gibson Living Legend Award whilst he was on stage.
I had the good fortune to be there that night and took some pictures.
So in remembrance of Chet's birthday, Alan has written a song and compiled a video tribute to the man who was an inspiration to us all and remains so to this day.
I'm sure Alan will appreciate any feedback you may have.

A wonderful tribute to Chet. A sweet arrangement - melody and words. It's so nice to see Chet's influence to this day. It will be here forever. Thanks for posting.

Re: Remembering Chet
Thanks for putting that together. I've followed Chet since 1962 and this brought a lot of memories and emotions to the surface.
