Lenny Breau - Always

Postby George Beasley » Fri Dec 10, 2010 10:52 pm

Here is a video of me trying to play Lenny's version of "Always". I screw up plenty...but I always choke when trying to record, so this is the best I could get on camera.

Hope you enjoy it.

That was a real treat, George. A really fine job!

If you tense up on camera you hide it better than me ... I sure didn't see any flaws in your playing.

Thanks for posting

That was wonderful George. I didn't think you looked all that sensitive to the "red light"!! Someone said that Jerry Reed just got better when the record light came on :) but I'm sure he would have felt some pressure. Anyway, great job. Please post more.. Thanks.

Mighty nice, George. I'm sure you felt nervous but I'm not worried about you when I listen. John

Thanks everybody. I tried recording that several times, and this was the best take, though the flow got screwed up right before the harmonics part when my computer screen went dim, and I didnt think the camera was going to pick it up....you can see me reach down and wiggle the mouse to wake the screen up.

By that point, I was tired of trying to get it on video, and posted it as it was.

I just got a Blue Baby Bottle mic the other day....you can see it in the lower left corner. I haven't quite got the mic placement figured out yet.
Thanks,
George
