    Freight Train
    Georgia on My Mind
    It Could Happen to You

    Spanjazz
    Taranta
    There Is No Greater Love
    Visions
You can buy the book at Amazon for $19.99.

Hendrik, I appreciate you finding this! However, I can say from experience that this level of complexity will require hearing Lenny's originals!

I agree with Rande about needing to hear the recordings to get much from the book. I previewed the sample pages on Amazon and it looks like the tunes are transcribed from some of Lenny's albums, Velvet Touch, etc. Most of these have been reissued as CDs. So far so good. There is an active Lenny Breau group on Facebook. I'm sure some of them will pick up a copy of this book and play through some of the transcriptions.

I'm glad to see so much interest in Lenny and his music. When I visited Berklee earlier this year, I sat in on a Lenny Breau class.

Back in the day I told people I had two kinds of guitar albums, Chet Atkins and non-chet atkins. I'd then go on to say that Lenny's albums were my second favorite.

It was a Baptist minister/guitarist in the early 70's who first told me about Lenny. I was a huge Chet/Jerry fan at the time and when I heard Lenny, I was intrigued with what I heard but felt that diverting my attention toward yet another guitarist would only dilute my efforts toward progress. Then I heard Chet's opinion of Lenny and that's all it took!

By the way, are the recordings that these transcriptions are taken from all on one CD? In other words, how many CD's would I need to acquire to cover it all?

Rande,

Just received the book in the mail. The transcriptions are taken from these 4 Lenny CDs:

1. Guitar Sounds from L.B.
2. Velvet Touch of L.B. Live
3. Five O'clock Bells
4. Hallmark Sessions

Thanks,

John C.

John, since I don't have any of those, I guess I'll have to acquire them if I wanted to make everything complete!

thank you!
