Thanks Tom for your hard work on the Chetboard! It's evolved over time any many problems were eliminated and enhancements were made, for example, hackers posting porn and nusance adds stopped, we have a for for sale section and devoted sections for discussion, audio, video and announcements about about all kinds of things. I too liked being able to have posts appear quicker or instantly, but I'll still come here for Chet related material consistent with the intent of the board as shown at the top of the page. Thanks again.

The lack of immediate posting and PMing are disappointing. It would be nice to be back to real time and have the ability to PM fellow Chetboarders.

Re: Thanks Tom For Your Hard Work
Thanks, Gary for starting this thread and expressing my sentiments as well. If I were sitting in Tom's seat, I'm certain that I would have thrown up my hands long ago. Thanks, Tom, for your quiet endurance. A possible "fix" might be to enhance the interface with a very easily selected "Ignore This Thread" and/or "Ignore This User." I frequent a number of discussion boards and have concluded that, unless the vast majority of the members are mature, it's really impossible to conduct serious discussions in the venue. Now, scroll to the top of the page and take a look at the portrait in the upper left. That man earned every audience he ever had. Do the right thing. LMark

Yes Tom (and others that work on the site), thanks for all your work on this Chetboard and the website itself! Chetfans need an outlet to share their enjoyment of Chet's music and influence and this site makes that possible. As a previous post said many Chet fans don't have other local Chet fans to share their thoughts with but this site allows for that connection!

I thank Tom as well for his work with the chetboard, but I hate to sound like a broken record...the approval feature needs to be removed. Once it's removed you will see life back in the chetboard.

Thanks Tom, Doug, and anyone elso who gives of their time to make this board work. I'm sorry you've had to put up with some of the utter nonsense you've had to due to one certain malcontent and a small band of followers. The approval feature seems to be unpopular but unfortunately some of us just don't fully realize Chet Atkins is without equal and therefore do not fully understand what purpose the Chetboard is intended for.
