This is sort of an old one. I didn't look at the date but I think I did it about three years ago. While a lot of my picking has been Reedish, this has more of a Chester flavor.
Anyway, for your enjoyment (or to throw tomatoes at):

Nobody will be "throwing tomatoes" at that, Bruce! The creativity and precision were great!

Re: Sitting Around Pickin
Thank you again, friends.
I might start back playing again. No, that's not a threat I have been thinking about it. A few weeks ago I decided to re-read Doyle Dykes' "The Lights of Marfa," and it inspired me to order one of his books of tabs. Unfortunately, that book has remained in its shipping box ever since I got it, though maybe I'll open it up today. And a couple of nights ago I listened on Facebook to Bill Piburn play "Sunny," and was inspired by it, such incredible Lenny-ness. So I ordered his book that has that tune and several other 60's tunes tabbed. It's supposed to arrive today. Maybe I'll open it up.
I do that with almost all tabs I get, and instructional DVDs, too. Rande can tell you. I have several of Craig's books and don't use them, I have the entire Chet In 3D DVD set and have only watched John play one tune and watched his nail care video, and on and on. I'm a fairly unusual sort of nutcase I guess.
Sorry to be thinking out loud with you like this, but I'm hoping maybe I'll embarrass myself into playing again. On the other hand, I am downright afraid to start back because I fear that I have lost so much. And on the third hand, I am thinking, why not just let bygones be bygones and move onto something else. Life is short baby.
Anyway, I appreciate you guys (and gals).
