Indiana State Fingerstyle Competition
The Indiana State Fingerstyle Guitar Competition was held yesterday, July 26th, in Nashville, Indiana. Pickers were there from several states as well as Japan and Italy. Pretty much all types of fingerstyle was represented including "tapping". CAAS pickers were well represented and took top honors in both the adult and the new youth competition. Roger Hardin from Murfreesboro, TN won the adult competition playing great arrangements of two Christmas songs: Sleigh ride and Carol of the Bells. Parker Hastings from Richmond, KY won the youth division and Evan Twitty from Vincennes, IN was second in what appeared (based on the time it took judges to make the call) to be a tough decision. Heard a lot of good picking yesterday!

Congratulations Roger. Good to hear you played Christmas in July. Good luck in Winfield. Or "break a thumb"
Also, great job Parker and Evan in the Junior division.
