Hard to Find Book

Postby DEBIJON86 » Mon Jul 21, 2014 3:56 pm

I have been looking for a book named “Chet Atkins: The Life, Legend, and Legacy of a Musical Giant” written by Rusty Russell. Here is some information about it:
• Hardcover: 350 pages
• Publisher: Backbeat UK (November 28, 2003)
• Language: English
• ISBN-10: 0879307196
• ISBN-13: 978-0879307196

Can you help me find it, wanting to purchase for my husband as a gift.

I appreciate your help.

I believe that book never saw publication.

Not sure what happened to it. I know there was a lot of pre-publishing promotion but I don't think it ever actually got printed and released

That should do it.

IT says here it may be downloaded for free.

Uploaded on January 2 this year, and has been downloaded 569 times. I haven´t tried it myself.

Perhaps the publisher would know the status of that title: http://www.pguk.co.uk/hal-leonardbackbeat/ . LMark

I started the download process but backed off part way through. There are some 'sign ups' you have to enroll in which I'm pretty sure will result in spam generation as the info gets sold and resold.

Odd that Rusty couldn't get legitimate publishing or, if he wanted to do the download thing it could have been offered as an E book on Amazon or something. I had a heckuva time finding someone to handle my book on Paul Yandell (but I did) and it may not see daylight until the end of the year because it is a tedious process even when you do find a publisher

Norm, most of those sites are bait and switch. Once you have filled out the questionare, gotten spam and found your way through the maze of "nexts", what you end up downloading is not what you expected. If it downloads at all. You were smart to turn around before it was too late.
