Doyle Dykes / Kirk Sand / Guild Guitar!

I'm really interested in what the features and price of this new guitar will be. Especially since the Gibson Chet Atkins Studio model is no longer available.

Doyle Dykes came by my shop tonight to show me the very first Doyle Dykes model by the Guild Guitar Company. This has been in the works for a while. I am so proud to have my design picked up by Guild/Fender guitar with Doyle's endorsement, coming out this week at the NAMM show in Anaheim. Doyle and I have been collaborating on designs for 20 years. We are proud of this one!

I am anxious to play one of them. With Doyle and Kirk both involved, I'm sure it will be top notch.

I sure hope they do a better job on the nylon guitar than they did with their JUNK steel string acoustic guild Doyle Dykes model! Terrible guitar and terrible service department from Guild and a most horrible LB 6 from LR Baggs! If you get a guitar from them that dosent work, your on your own, they could care less! That's a fact.

Just as suspected "expensive".

Also, they need to give Kirk Sand the design credit on the website.

Kirk probably don't care as long as they send the checks to the right address. :-) That is probably the MSRP, and you know the old saying, "Nobody pays retail."

Ok, if its 5500.00 MSRP,, than street price is 3300.00 at least,,minus Kirks cut brings it to 2900.00 minus
Doyles cut brings it to 2500,00,, i heard a clip of Doyle playing it a NAMM, his playing was fine as usual
the Barbera pickup has potential,, but the guitar? Its no Kirk Sand,,, I would not trade my Godin Ambiance for it,
Now if it feels like a Sand, thats different, but to me nothing feels like a Sand
Just my opinion,, usual disclaimers apply,
