Earliest Gretsch 6120?

Postby Ray Bohlken » Sat Sep 07, 2013 4:35 pm

There's an article in the October issue of Vintage Guitar Magazine about a 6120 that has a seial number (#13767) between Chet's Streamline Special (#13753) and his first 6120 (#13770) in the 137XX batch of guitars. There are several photos of the guitar and some mention of different features, including a 21 fret neck. It is owned by Fred Stucky and was once owned by a member of Eddie Cochran's family. It is a really interesting article. Check it out if you get a chance. I saw it a Barnes and Noble and read some of it while I was waiting for my wife and decided to buy the mag.
