Looks like it's in great shape. Almost exactly like the first DV I had. I ordered it from Chuck Tucker in the 1980's. Is he still around? He was a pilot, and his wife was from Brazil.

That one is a real beauty. I would expect its worth the asking price,,,I would be tempted if I didn't already have one!

Mine is exactly like that one except that one has better looking wood. I told Chuck I wanted one with pretty wood but I didn't get it. He said only the long scale ones had pretty wood. Mine has a dark purple wine brownish color with some grain. It is well built with fancy tuners and a ebony wide board. I don't know what happened to Chuck, I haven't heard from him in years. Al

Hi Guys, How can you tell by looking at this guitar that its a short scale. I have one that looks similar to this one wood not as pretty. I was told that it was not a short scale. I was also told by the gentleman that I bought mine from that there were at least 3 scale lengths and that the one I was buying was the medium. Just wondering what to look for as identifiers when looking for the short-short scale model?

Tom,
I would say that the only way to know for sure is: take a tape measure and measure the length from the nut to the bridge saddle.
