FS: Gretsch G6122-1958 Gent ** SOLD **

Postby MitchC » Sat Feb 16, 2013 3:52 pm

** SOLD **

Hate to do this especially after all the personalizations, but I want to get down to only 3 Gretschs and this one got the nod to part with.

2006 G6122-1958 Country Gentleman with upgrades. Excellent condition. A few very superficial scratches on the back that I cannot capture in pics. The neck has a minor indentation which does not affect playing whatsoever. Can't feel it at all. I would not have invested money in upgrades if this was an issue. It might be to you however, so full disclosure. (the pic in the links is with flash and overemphasis the dent).

The personalizations:

- TV Jones Supertron neck pickup
- TV Jones Classic Plus bridge pickup
- Tru-Arc brass BR-120 bridge
- Gretsch / Bigsby B6 V-cutout tailpiece
- Chet wire arm swivel handle
- Refretted with Dunlop 6130 medium jumbo frets. Superb fret job ! Same frets as on my '59 HOF Gent

As new condition Gretsch case. No paperwork.

$1900 plus shipping to CONUS

That is a mighty nice looking guitar Mitch!! Now, looking at the photos, that price DOES include that amp, right? What is that an Airline, Silvertone.........? Wish I had an amp like that......hey, what'd'ya know!! Whooda thunk? Boy, if I had not already spent all my dough on other things I would be your happy buyer! And you have already done all the upgrades that I would do and need's to be done to get it in the "Chet-Sphere". My wife done hid the ski mask and .38 and that's probably a good thing! Don't really want 3 hots and a cot rat now. One of you fellow Chetboarders better jump on this guitar right away. Believe me when I tell ya that is a KILLER price, especially with all the goodies Mitch has put on it. And NO, Mitch ain't my brother-in-law, or owe me money. I've just done TONS of research about these guitars. Wunna these days, wunna these days......it'll be my turn. You snooze....you loose!! Better listen to me! Like Chet used to say, "That is my opinion, and it ought'a be yours!" Steve

Ralph, standard Gretsch width, not the 1 3/4" as on the '59 or CGP.

Will consider trades for Gretsch 2011 / 2012 G6122-1959 or Gibson Country Gent (cherry preferred)
