Rande, thank you. I like trying to do "appropriate" transitions, i.e., trying to not over-do or under-do. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes I don't. My key rule on transitions: they should never interfere with the feeling of a song, and, if anything, should only contribute. I also like simplicity. In fact, my favorite part of this tune is the simple strumming ending, with the transition from A minor to D, briefly passing through E to get there.

Ron, thank you very much. I always appreciate your compliments and encouragement. Thank you also for the link. I was a teenager when The Beatles came on the scene, and their music (and their whole counter-culture philosophy) had a very significant impact on me.
