I enjoyed your 'kitchen pickin' and the D'Addario ad. I use those Pro Arte strings myself and have for years along with LaBella 500P, which are getting mighty expensive upward around $20 now. The D'Addarios are a 'best buy' for sure.

I like your Kirk Sand guitar and the way you play it. How about some more Craig Dobbins "Kitchen Pickin" ? Thanks

Thanks Ronnie. D'Addario asked for a short clip, so I wedged myself between the French doors and the cabinet with my Sand guitar and my Phil Jones amp, and away we went. (My son Bennett did the honors.)

I use the ProArte on the Sand (extra hard, or sometimes hard tension), nickel wound on my electrics, and phosphor bronze on my acoustic. I have the remainders of some sets they made up for Chet for my Delvecchio. (Plain 1st-3rd, silk and steel 4th, and nylon 5th and 6th).

On my "Reed guitars" like the Clawmaster, I use the LaBella 820 red flamenco strings, to get that sound. (On my old Takamine, I use a split set of LaBella red trebles and Studio flatwound basses.)

Anyway, the D'Addario folks have been nice to me, and it was fun to discover the clip on YouTube last night.

Thanks Craig,I use also D'addario but i think is better to use strong tension for Gibson CEC Chet Atkins Classical that i buy recently,very beautiful guitar and happy to have now ,very nice gift that i offer to me !

I guess it's still Beard Season....I just shaved mine off just last week.
I use the D'Addario Pro Art Hard Tension E,A,D,...Labella Red G, D'Addario clear B,and E. There's just something about that Labella red 3rd that I like.

Let's see now, what's wrong with this posting? I have a kitchen, I use D'Addario stings and I have a guitar, but I sure can't play that good. Ah, it must be the beard. Hopefully my wife will relent and let me grow one so I can sound like you. Billy

Phil- I agree. For the Reed stuff, the red flamenco strings really get the sound. My Sand sounds best with the ProArtes.
