Julie just found this video with my arrangement of "Time in a Bottle." I recorded the lead on my Delvecchio and the accompaniment with a Taylor XXX-MC.

Good job, Craig. Cute shot of "thyme" in a bottle. Nice tones and the video was very well done.

Thanks for all the nice comments. I forgot to mention, my arrangement of "Time in a Bottle" is in AGW Vol 11 No 3. It's on the back issues page at:

(End of advertisement.)

Chip, I'm working on AGW Vol 15 No 2 right now. It should be out in "exactly several" weeks.

Rick Allred played a real nice version of Time in a Bottle in one of the workshop rooms at the Chet convention a couple of years ago - wish I'd recorded him playing that!

Craig, I was amazed and really pleased to hear you have produced "Time in a Bottle". Not so much for the exact song, but for another guitarist who did a fabulous job on it: Tony Mottola. Tony seems to be one of the least-appreciated guitarists insofar as ChetBoard members are concerned. I hardly ever read mention of him, but he was a leader in orchestral work (was a favorite guitarist of Sinatra) and could do solo work that really rivaled Chet. If you can find any of his work, you can readily see the comparison between his chordal and single-string work with that of Chet. He was a very "pleasing" guitarist to hear. His recordings are hard to find. My collection of the few DVDs he did was stolen in a house burglary some time ago. Luckily, the thieves did not find the old cassettes I had, which represented most of my collection. So I am thankful to you for "Time in a Bottle," even though you may not have had Tony Mottola in mind when you produced it. In my estimation, in addition to Chet, Tony would be a great guitarist to emulate. K E N T
