Hello everyone, finally I find myself on vacation (even if for a week), and I find the right time to devote myself to my passion.
Today I share with you a very elegant arrangement of CHET, Polka dots and Moonbeams from the Solo Session album.
I use for the first time in video my 1991 Gibson J45 Natural, very nice instrument with a unique voice, also there is a strange fact because normally the j45 natural are called j50 !!!!!!!!!!!! !!
I attached a LR Baggs M80 to amplify it, for example in my Rivera Sedona, but today I decided to record it acoustically through two microphones, one dynamic and the other condenser; respectively a sennheiser 906 and a CAD e100S.
All managed through my fantastic H6 zoom.
There are various oversights in the performance and also I can not easily memorize the tracks, on the whole I have been distracted and relaxed in doing so.
I hope you like it, especially my J45.

That was very nice, Paolo. I hope you will be able to attend the Chet Atkins Appreciation Convention next year if there is one. People know who you are now and I think many of them would like you to perform. I also believe that the girls would like you!..

Paolo, I hadn't heard that song in a long time. I enjoyed it. I also liked your playing on your J-45. I've never had one, but I've played them in music stores and like them a lot. Thanks for posting this. Enjoy your vacation.

Very nice, Paolo! Thank you for posting your video!
I play a nice block chord / melody arrangement of "Polka Dots and Moonbeams" arranged by Steve Crowell. So it is fun to compare the two arrangements, 2 very different feels, both very good.
Chet used the same penultimate ending in this arrangement of "Polka Dots and Moonbeams" in his B major to C major arrangement of "Londonderry Air", which is a gorgeous arrangement!! (Chet created at least 2 arrangements of "Londonderry Air".)
