Thanks for posting that, Mark... Roger is one great guitarist. I'll never forget the first time he won the National Thumbpickin' Contest at Paradise Park before the Travis Center was built. A bunch of pickers had already played (competed - of sorts) and, were standing in the back discussing (arguing/complaining) about something in the rules - when, I heard this "new guy" start to play. I intervened in the "lively" talk by holding my hand up to my ear to get them to listen to the guy on stage - suggesting, "I think this might be a moot point, fellers!" Roger not only went on to win all THREE categories - I think they also invited him to move there.... He's been an annual performer there and CAAS every year, since. Just an awesome player - and, a heck of a nice guy.

Now, was that a SMILE I saw on his face??? LOLOL
