My humble attempt at Merle's Dance by Paul Yandell filmed by Gretsch at CAAS. I learned it off of youtube from Mr. Eddie Pennington last year, and it's now one of my favorite tunes to play! Sort of made the solo section of the tune my own....hope you enjoy it!

Re: Merle's Dance
She plays a lot better than I ever could but she sounds more like Chet Atkins playing Merle's dance than Eddie Pennington played. I play the same way when I try to play Merle Travis tunes. I'm just too stuck on the CA style.

Hi Rich, have to make it my own, ya know? I knew I wouldn't be able to play it like Eddie cause I don't have that Travis thumb down, but I tried Thanks for the comment.

No offence meant to you. I understated it by saying that you played it better than I could. You played it well. But I always loved the Merle Travis style sound that guys like Eddie Pennington get and I never could even though I was a big Merle Travis fan in addition to being a Chet Atkins fan.
