Thanks Phil! They are as "smooth as silk", as always. A few observations come to mind....I'm noticing more and more how much Chet used his thumb-pick like a flat pick, and I was also struck with the fact that both he and Paul were playing steel string acoustics (although amplified). I also noticed Chet appearing as if to be singing the song while he was playing it. I've never known it to be a vocal, but then maybe that's where it came from?

I agree, Bill. YouTube has made a HUGE difference in being able to see such great performers in action! Think of Jerry Reed. See how much footage you find of him outside of YouTube! Before YouTube there were videos of Chet in various situations but very little of Jerry. I'm talking about the focus being on his guitar playing.
