White Christmas/Jingle Bell Rock (Spadaro-ATKINS)-VIDEO

Postby Spadaro Paolo » Fri Dec 18, 2015 9:12 am

Hello guys, Christmas is coming.

My best wishes here on chetboard with a Christmas medley of course.

White Christmas and Jingle bells Rock, two great classics.

The first song was arranged by me using chord melody and a few Atkins licks :
the second is my cover of Chet arrangement runs in the album of 1961 "Christmas with Chet Atkins."

In this video using my beautiful Gretsch 6122-1959 and for the first time in video my new amplifier: FENDER TWIN REVERB 65 reissue.

My thanks to Eddie Estes for giving me the opportunity to study the Jingle Bell Rock arrangement.

I hope you enjoy them and CHRISTMAS GREETINGS.

Certainly Eddie !!!!!
The backing track I made using band in a box.
I exported the file in mp3 format.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, Eddie.

Hello,
P.S. let me know if you have new material. I am always ready to study

Merry Christmas.

Paolo, that was very nice! You have managed to reproduce that Gretsch sound! What amp are you using?
You have inspired me to figure out a way to do more recording. I hope to in 2016 and also look forward
to hearing more of yours. I continue to be impressed with your choice of music when you are so young!
The ladies wouldn't be attracted to this.........lol.

Thanks so much
Dager amplifier that I use here is a fender twinr reverb reissue 65, (as I wrote above).
To be honest with this instrument does not take so long to bring out a beautiful sound .............. (really good tools); guitar attached directly to the amplifier.
For the choice of music I never swayed by anyone, I do not play to work (my job allows me to live very well) but for fun and passion.
I grew up our listening "that sound", music by Atkins and not only, but especially Atkins.
Girls????? Today it is hard to find girls attracted to musicians, let alone fingerstyle musicians in ITALY !!!!!!!! :D
Joke of course, but this music is directed to a few people, enough for me these few but good ears.
Recently I am building a repertoire with a my friend (he is 60 years old), this work together will include music by Atkins, Montgomery and Knopfler on my part (as first guitar) and Santana and other Brazilian and blues from my friend (I Here are the second guitar).
There is thus a little more modern ...............(the crunch that Knopfler pulls out of his Les Paul is magical,Wes Montgomery with his improvisation triggers in me only sensations of extreme satisfaction and musical maturity.) 8-) 8-) 8-)
