Of course I'm always up for listening to someone play "The Claw" but I really liked your new take on "Blue Smoke". Playing it in A minor instead of D minor like Merle Travis did and Thom Bresh. Thanks for posting the links.

Welcome to the South, Brian! Chattanooga is a great city with a really nice music scene. There a lot of concerts in Coolidge park on the river during the summer. Two really nice venues are the Barking Legs Theatre and the Camphouse. Plus, there are tons of honky-tonk type places to get your fix, too.

I haven't been in a few years, but Billy Denham ran the Chattanooga fingerstyle guitar club and he would be a good person to get ahold of. I'm sure someone on here has his e-mail.

Hi Brian! You have nice technique. It's interesting that you're left handed. I can see that your version of "The Claw" was inspired by Chet's arrangement. I too have a Godin Multiac. You might want to meet and get with Wesley Crider. I believe he lives there also and is a regular presenter at the CAAS conventions. Thanks for posting and welcome!

Thanks for your kind words. I really like it here in the south. The blue smoke I play is from a Doc Watson live album and a mix of Gareth Pearsons. If there is a fingerstyle club that any one knows of please let me know . thanks for the info Craig on places to go .
