Hello everyone ...........

This week I'm on vacation for the Christmas holidays so I have available a lot of time to be committed to my favorite hobby that is to play the guitar.

This time I have tried to replicate the version of "Tara's Theme" by Chet atkins in the 1957 album HI-FI in FOCUS.

I tried to understand much detail as possible listening this song many many times.
The backtrack is created by me so as usual using Band in a Box.

I am particularly fond of this arrangement because my late master told me to have played often in the evenings on the cruise ship where he played regularly. One evening while he was performing the song at the time of the part with harmonics and bigsby, an elderly man approached and sat in front of the stage listening with admiration this arrangement.
The elderly man was the guest of honor of the evening: ANDRES SEGOVIA !!!!!!!!!
My teacher was incredulous and almost he took a shot !!!!!

He told me that due to the arrangement of CHET ATKINS, had gotten the attention of the greatest classical guitarist of all time, ANDRES SEGOVIA.

hope you like it....

This is one of my favorite Chet songs and you did it proud. Great job. I've enjoyed all of your videos, but this was my favorite.

Take notice, folks...

The man shows us how The Man used a Bigsby. With subltey and taste. This tune is extremely expressive and the Bigsby has a lot to do with it.

I see so many people putting up videos "copying" Chet's arrangements yet refusing to even touch their Bigsby's even though it is audibly evident Chet loved his.

Excellent job (and a good guitar lesson)

Thanks Norm, I really appreciate your comment .....! :)

I was always attracted to this unique mechanism, the effects that add to the already beautiful sound of the guitar; as a child I dreamed of putting my hands on a Gretsch, for the extraordinary sound and because those have the Bigbsy !!!!!

Gretsch, Bigsby and CHET ATKINS are linked:

the effects created by the use of bigsby by CHET ATKINS are one of the same characteristics of his style, should not be underestimated absolutely !!!!!!
I just remain etched in my mind those sounds extraordinary present in many arrangements of CHET while he uses vibrato.

Thanks Richard !!!! Yes, in fact I should take more days off to dedicate to my passions ...........!

I am a railwayman, all the days and nights in the middle of trains, stations and tracks;
I really like my job, but my greatest satisfaction is to get home tired after the day's work and relax shouldered the guitar and playing something!!!!! :)

PAOLO.
