Hi all -

I finally made some new videos, and here is the first one - "Sheik of Araby." It's my transcription from the 1956 "The Merle Travis Guitar" album. On the recording, Merle used a capo to play the song in the key of 'A'.

Hope you all like it, and thanks for watching!

Randy

Randy, That's fun to watch and hear. Don't think I'm familiar with that guitar model you have. You have quite a thumb on your left hand.

Thanks, Art!

My guitar was built by Brian Ison of Springfield, Mo. It's based on Merle's Super 400: 18'' wide, 3 3/8' deep. The scale is shorter than normal at 24 3/4", and the neck is more narrow at between 9/16" and 10/16".

Thanks for watching my video.

Randy
