Blowin' in the Wind cover (Chet Atkins)-VIDEO

Postby Spadaro Paolo » Mon Jun 02, 2014 11:51 am

Hello!!!!!!
I am happy to share with you another cover from the 1965 album "More of That Guitar Country" by the great
CHET ATKINS.
Here Mr. Chet has done an arrangement very interesting (as usual).
I try to imitate it remotely (with some mistakes here and there)..............

I think Chet uses his DEL VECCHIO resonator.... but I'll try with my wonderful Taylor.
Rhythm section with Band in a Box.

I hope you like it and let me know what you think.

Thanks Roger and Jack.

The transcription has passed me by my late master Paolo Cucinotta, he probably found it on the web (as well as many others). There is no specified the author but this will definitely be a transcript made by you Mr. Baker

P.S. I tried to visit his website, but the tabs are "locked" or something like that.
His website is the holy grail!!!!
I never seen so many transcripts of my hero Chet Atkins.

Thanks again and sorry, I hope not to have offended Mr. Baker but I could not know.

It is my first name is Paolo.
Thanks again for the compliments are truly honored;
Usually I pull out the pieces of Chet by ear (see my video love letters or yakety axe or others), but surely the tablature are more accurate, and certainly will be his best (I did not know his site).
I hope to be able to download the tabs from his site.
Nice to meet you and congratulations Mr. Baker.

Steve and Richard thanks for the nice words ..............
Initially, before I started recording I made many tests with more or less good .................
So I came to this :

Video \ Audio ( Recording) Setup ---->
- for video it is simple I use phone 5 (no joke , true Full HD );
- for audio it is in fact more complex use microphones both direct recording of guitar ( piezo or proprietary amplification see the Taylor ES or that of my Godin Nylon SA) ; all this is done with a single product ZOOM H6 ( easy to use, nice product). Sometimes use only the ZOOM microphones , for example to record my GRETSCH or any other electric guitar.
Nothing professional, but I think there are some good results.

Guitar Setup ------------- >
this changes from song to song , in this case I have connected my Taylor directly into my SR 150 Plus ( acoustic guitar amp ) , also connect audio output from my notebook to the backingtrack created by me with Band in a Box.

Nothing professional, but I think there are some good results.

PAOLO.
