Jingle Bell Rock by a really young guy

This young guy has a nice touch and tone. It's a great arrangement, too. Wish I could play it this way.

Wow! ...now that's impressive. I have a strong feeling that young feller is going to blossom into one fantastic geetar picker one day. I thoroughly enjoyed that! Thanks for posting that, Ray. -Tom W.

This young man got to appear AND perform with his hero, Tommy Emmanuel recently on the Woodsongs Old Time Radio Hour.

Check it out. His name is Parker Hastings. He performs in the 2nd half of the show.

Parker is 13 years old and recently won the Junior Thumbpicking Championship in Muhlenberg County here in Ky. He's great kid with manners, grades, multiple interests at school. Learning from a Ky Thumbpicker Club member on the thumb, a guitar teacher at a local music store for jazz and he plays a little pop/rock on his own. I am most impressed with his natural stage presence. He's played with Tommy, Frank and Vinny, the Endless Road Strings. He had a ball at CAAS last Summer and stole licks and tricks from everyone. It was fun to watch.
My favorite of his tunes is Walkin After Midnight:

I look forward to many years of this young fellow.

Terry, thanks for the link to that Woodsongs show. I am going to watch that. We used to get it on one of the PBS channels, but we don't any more.
Scott, thanks for the link to Walkin' After Midnight. I liked that one, too.
He was a year younger in the Jingle Bells Rock video. Next time someone complains about small hands, give them this link. His are still growing. I look forward to seeing and hearing more from young Parker.
