I watched a documentary on the Venture , they talked about Chet Atkins and the piece that they where inspired ''Walk don't run'' on ''Hi Fi in Focus''.
In one part Nokie Edwards (one of my Idole) play a small part of ''Vincent'' very nicely with some harmonics.
I think it is very cool to watch
Take care

Re: The Ventures vs Chet Atkins
Thanks Jean-Francois. Growing up for me it was always Chet, Duane Eddy and The Ventures. Pretty much in that order. One little band that I had as a teenager played almost all Ventures. They were a great group.

That was fascinating. I, too, loved those guys, and Nokie is an incredible finger picker ... I can't think of anyone who gets a cleaner sound than him. His fingerpicking is so Chet-like.
