Paul, people who have listened to Chet for a long time will recognize a lot of the little licks and phrases that you incorporated in these tunes. Listening and absorbing those over the years can add to our "bag of tricks" and are available to use in our own creations! You did a good job!

Thanks Rande, and you are right about influences coming out in your own playing. I guess that happens even when you're not thinking about it. BTW it was a pleasure to meet you and spend some time together at the CAAS and hope we'll do the same next time around.

It was nice meeting you too, Paul. I sort of feel like I was your "original tour guide" at CAAS last Summer. It sounds like that Kentucky group has taken you in now and you are being well indoctrinated! Maybe we can sit down and pick together next time?

The Kentucky crowd are all very cool and welcoming as can be, I'm glad I started going to their picking sessions they have each month as I've made a lot of friends. Next CAAS for sure we'll pick together Rande :)

Dang, Taff - you are getting the jist of this pickin' thang!!! LOL I can't wait until our paths cross, again. Maybe at Mother Kirtley's 140th birthday party!!! (Isn't she just the best role model?? Every time I feel like finding my chair for a little nap in the afternoon I think of Mom and say to myself, "Oh, no - gotta keep going!") Keep on Pickin',
